IMU CET

IMU CET 2022 counselling for the third spot round will be conducted on September 12. Candidates will be able to participate in the spot round of IMU CET counselling 2022 at the IMU campuses. Selection of candidates for admissions will be done as per their rank, preferences and availability of seats. IMU CET 2022 result/rank card is now available at imu.edu.in. The obtained ranks in the examination can be checked through the IMU CET result 2022. The rank list of IMU CET 2022 has also been released online. .What is IMU CET?

Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) is conducted by Indian Maritime University for admission of suitable candidates to Undergraduate (except BBA), Post Graduate and Research programmes. Various colleges also accept students based on their IMU CET scores.

.IMU CET 2022 Result:

IMU released the official IMU CET result 2022. Candidates will be able to check their obtained ranks through the result of IMU CET 2022 and apply for the counselling process. Candidates are advised to download the result for future use. Only qualified candidates will be able to participate in the counselling process.

.IMU CET 2022 Admit Card:

The admission authority has released the IMU CET admit card 2022 online for eligible candidates. Candidates can now download the IMU CET admit card by using their login credentials. Details regarding the exam date, timings, venue, guidelines and more are released through the admit card of IMU CET 2022. While reporting to the exam centre, the candidates will have to present their admit card and identity proof.

.IMU CET 2022 Application Form:

Interested and eligible candidates were able to apply for IMU CET 2022 online. While filling out the IMU CET application form 2022, the candidates were required to provide their correct and valid details. Any error in the details may lead to the rejection of the application. After filling out their personal, academic and contact details, the candidates had to upload their scanned photographs and signature. Candidates had to pay the fee to submit the application form successfully.

.IMU CET 2022 Eligibility Criteria:

.IMU CET Eligibility Criteria 2022:

BTech (Marine Engineering) and B.Tech (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering)

Passed Class 12 (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the main subject with a minimum 60% average) or equivalent. Obtained 50% aggregate in English subjects in Class 10 and Class 12.

SC/ST candidates will get a relaxation of 5% but it is not applicable to the English marks.

BSc (Ship Building and Repair) Passed Class 12 (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the main subject with a minimum 50% average) or equivalent. Obtained 50% aggregate in English subjects in Class 10 and Class 12.
 
SC/ST candidates will get a relaxation of 5% but it is not applicable to the English marks.
BBA (Logistics, Retailing and eCommerce)

Passed Class 12 (60% aggregate in any stream) or equivalent. Obtained 50% aggregate in English subjects in Class 10 and Class 12.
 
SC/ST candidates will get a relaxation of 5% but it is not applicable to the English marks.

Eligibility Criteria for Lateral Entry Admission to BTech (Marine Engineering)

 Candidates should have completed three years of Diploma in Marine/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering with a minimum of 55% from a recognized Institute and 50% marks in English subject in Class 10/Class 12/Diploma examination. Candidates should have completed the Diploma in the stipulated duration of three years or
 Candidates should have completed four years of Diploma in Shipbuilding Engineering from a recognized Institute and 50% marks in English subjects in Class 10/Class 12/Diploma examination.

Eligibility Criteria for Lateral Entry Admission to BTech (Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering)

.For admission to the second year:

.The age of the candidates should be in between 18 to 26 years.
.Candidates should have completed a Diploma in Ship Building Engineering from the Institute of Ship Building Technology, Goa or Diploma in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering from the AMET University, Chennai or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Civil Engineering from any Institute approved by AICTE.
.Candidates should have completed the Diploma within the stipulated time.
.Candidates will get admission based on marks obtained by them.

.For admission to the third year:

.Candidates should have completed BSc (Ship Building & Repair) with a minimum of 60% aggregate.
.Candidates have completed the degree in the stipulated period of three years.
.Candidates will get admission based on the percentage of marks secured by them.
.The age of the candidates should be in between 19 to 27 years.

.Age Limit:

Candidates’ age should be in between 17 years to 25 Years. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) & Schedule Tribe (ST) category will get a relaxation of 5 years.

.Medical Eligibility:

At the time of admission, candidates will be required to produce a certificate of medical fitness issued by doctors approved by the Directorate General of Shipping.
.Physical Fitness - Must be medically fit including eyesight and hearing as prescribed in the Merchant Shipping (Medical Examination) Rules, 2000, as amended.
.Eyesight - Candidates must possess good binocular vision (Fusion faculty and full field of vision in both eyes). The movement of the eyeballs must be full in all directions and the pupils should react normally to light and accommodation. Normal colour vision shall be tested by Ishihara Test Chart. Distance Vision unaided 0.5*(6/12) in each eye or 0.67*(6/9) in better eye and 0.33*(6/18) in the other eye.
